Favorite quote, "That's What She Said"
-Wayne's World & The Office
Okay, I'm back. I wanted to be more interesting, and admittedly to make up for missing an opportunity or two to blog last week during the crunch.
Hot Topics, right now I'm considering Banned Books. Working in a Public Library, this is like Christmas because a library employee is actually allowed to have an opinion during Banned Books Week. Huh, figure that!
I want a Mac and much of our coursework is encouraging that extravagant wish. Maybe just a MacMini, do you think I could slide that inside without my fiance noticing. Wedged somewhere between my vinyl record and CD collection, my pillars of DVD's (both high and low brow, but usually funny), and broken laptops I try to salvage. Hmmm...
I read that the author of Glut was an English undergrad and became a tech dude after library school. I'm glad it's been done before. Like many of my classmates, getting into grad school is such an achievement, I still wonder if I am worthy or apt, though.
Groucho Marx said: "I'd never want to be a part of a club that would have me as a member," I'd amend that to "I'm in this great club, and I wonder if they really want me as a member..." I just realized that the phrase "I'd amend that" looks like "I damned that," I blame it on digitized (demonized) fonts. Funny stuff.
